Kiawah Island Deer Population Among other Wildlife Are Getting Out of Hand

The Island of Kiawah which sits on the coast near Charleston, SC is a popular place. Lush landscapes, golf courses, and beautiful homes attract visitors and vacationers. If you spend any amount of time on Kiawah Island, you will find that the island is very abundant with raccoons, opossums, squirrels, bats, and white-tailed deer. Residents of Kiawah Island often complain about dead animals on the side of the road. Rats have also been reported scratching in attics. Lead Property Manager says this in a recent interview; "We are aware of the high numbers of nuisance wildlife calls we get on Kiawah Island.
